DIY Natural Cleaning Solutions

Some household items can be used to make effective DIY(Do It Yourself) all-purpose cleansers. Natural cleaners will not only improve your life, but they will almost erase that unpleasant odor in your home and are surprisingly inexpensive to make.

The best part is that you can just gather the supplies from your storage area; here are some of the items needed to make your own natural cleanser.

1. Vinegar

Vinegar, with its acidic qualities, is a powerful cleaning agent. Make an all-purpose cleaner by combining equal parts water and white vinegar. Use it to clean counters, glass surfaces, and even cutting boards. It's acidity helps break down dirt and grime, leaving surfaces gleaming clean.

2. Baking Soda

Baking soda is a multipurpose item that works as a gentle abrasive when scrubbing surfaces. Mix it with water to make a paste for cleaning sinks, bathtubs, and grout. Its natural deodorizing characteristics make it ideal for removing bad odors from carpets, refrigerators, and other surfaces.

3. Essential Oils

Enhance your natural cleaning products with essential oils: Tea tree oil, lavender oil, lemon oil, and eucalyptus oil are all popular options. Add a few drops to your cleaning solutions to provide a refreshing aroma.

Here is one way to make your own DIY Multipurpose Cleaner:

To make your own natural all-purpose cleaner, combine 100 ml of white vinegar, 100 ml of water, and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in an empty spray bottle. Add 10-15 drops of your choice essential oil. Pour the liquid into a spray bottle and you'll have a multipurpose cleaner ready to use on a variety of surfaces in your home.

Making your own natural cleaning products not only creates a healthier living environment, but also helps with sustainability. Using common items in the household eliminates the need for single-use plastic packaging. It is a cost-effective and greener option for your home.
