How to Use Dishwasher Pods

Where to put the dishwasher pod?

Place the dishwasher pod into the “Main wash” compartment. This ensures that the dishwasher pod is released at the correct time in the cycle when the hot water is used. If you just throw it in at the bottom of the dishwater, all the detergent will be used in the pre-wash phase which uses cold water.

How to use dishwasher pods?

There are a number of different types of pods but they all work very similarly. But, how should we use these pods in the dishwasher?

Steps

1. Get a single pod. Some need to be removed from the individually silver packet, while others are wrapped in clingfilm (do not remove the clear wrapping). Be careful not to get these wet because they will start to dissolve.

2. Open the dishwasher and put the pod in the dishwasher’s “Main Wash” compartment and close the compartment. The water will dissolve the plastic wrap automatically once the cycle starts.

3. Close the dishwasher door and select “Normal Wash” or “Eco Wash”, then press “Start”

What are dishwasher pods made of?

Dishwasher pods are made of either concentrated liquid or powder detergent. And then they are wrapped in a PVA (polyvinyl alcohol film) which helps protect it before it dissolves when added to water.
